There are several question formats available to help you create a consultation, questionnaire or survey that gathers the information you need to make an informed decision.
To add questions, you must first create and configure your consultation. Here are two demo platforms to help you understand which questions are available:

The table below shows the available question types. Each heading is clickable and will take you to an article explaining how to add and manage that type of question.
| Multiple choice question | Multiple-choice questions are the ones that offer the widest range of programming options. This type of question will therefore meet most of your needs. |
| Matrix question | The slider question is used to present identical answer options for several different items. It replicates the ‘Likert-type’ question in a more engaging format that is better suited to mobile devices. |
| Open ended question | The open-ended question is a space where your participants can express themselves freely. Responses to open-ended questions are confidential and cannot be linked to an email address or name. |
| Interactive map question | The interactive map question allows you to collect geolocated information. Often, the question will begin with ‘Where...?’ |
| The proposal | This proposal is useful for gathering feedback from your community on statements such as, for example, the actions proposed in an action plan, statements collected following face-to-face consultations, etc. |
| Dot voting question | The ‘Point-based voting’ question allows you to ask your participants to assign points or a monetary amount to a number of items that you present to them. |
| Idea wall | You can ask your participants for ideas via an open-ended question, but the ideas board offers even more! Share the ideas submitted by participants with your community. Participants can vote on other people’s ideas and/or submit their own. |
