Three alternatives to conditional questions

Conditional questions that allow for branching are not available on Cocoriko. We offer three alternatives that should meet your needs.

Option 1: Sections

Consultations on Cocoriko are divided into sections that may cover different topics. You can also use them to group together questions that are relevant to a specific target group within your community.
  1. Ask questions that are relevant to all participants
  2. When appropriate, group together questions relevant to a specific group
  3. Example from the City of Dorval with their consultation on cultural policy (see sections 5 and 6): https://consultations-dorval.ca/en/consultations/sondage-vers-une-politique-culturelle-a-dorval
Another scenario involves reaching out to people who specifically use certain services. Here is an example from the City of Clarence-Rockland: https://clarence-rockland.v3.cocoriko.org/consultations/a-venir

Option 2: Project Page

The project page allows you to present relevant information about your consultation, such as the timeline, frequently asked questions, events, and who is involved. It can also host one or more consultations. For example:
  • Consultations for different target groups
  • Consultations on specific topics
  • A Wall of Ideas separate from a survey

Here is a project set up on our demo platform:: https://demo-municipal.v3.cocoriko.org/projects/politique-familiale-et-des-aines-2025-2030.

Option 3: Home Page

Since most clients have only a few consultations at a time, instead of hosting the consultations on a project page, you can publish them directly on your platform’s homepage.

Members of your community will be able to choose the questionnaire that is most relevant to them. During the consultation period, only these two questionnaires were active.
