A questionnaire may include multiple-choice questions that allow more than one selection. For example: Tick your two preferred options from the list below. In such cases, the total percentage for the question will exceed 100%.

Here’s the short answer: The percentage shown is the percentage of votes for THAT option out of the total number of participants who voted on the page.

Here is the long answer: For questions that allow more than one answer, the percentage for each choice indicates the percentage of respondents who selected that choice. So, if there are 4 answers and a participant has selected answers 1 and 3, we will have:
1: 100%
2: 0%
3: 100%
4: 0%If we then have a participant who chooses 2 and 4, we will have:
1: 50%
2: 50%
3: 50%
4: 50%and then a participant chooses 1 and 2, we will have:
1: 67%
2: 67%
3: 33%
4: 33%and so on
