The consultation by invitation or private

Written by Team Cocoriko | Apr 2, 2026 6:28:07 PM

Invitation-only consultations are accessible only to the group of people you invite to the consultation. This type of consultation is also known as a private consultation. Invitation-only consultations are useful for committees, working groups or internal consultations with an organisation’s employees. This mode is also useful for sharing a consultation that needs to be approved or reviewed by people who are not administrators.

Click on "Consultations"

Click on your consultation

Click on "PERMISSIONS"

Enable the "This consultation is by invitation only" button

The survey has a unique link that you share via email with the group that needs access to the survey. If you'd prefer to display the survey on the home page, enable the "Display poll to everyone by invitation" button.

Click on "Save"

Enter the email addresses of the people who will have access to the consultation. You can also use a domain to grant access to everyone with an email address ending in that domain (for example: @cocoriko.org)

The email list appears, and you can add or remove a person

Click on "GENERAL INFORMATION"

In the Status section, set your consultation to "Ongoing" when you're ready to share it with the group.

Click on "PREVIEW"

Since the consultation is private, the platform will ask you to log in to access it. Your email address must be included in the list of email addresses, or you must be an administrator.

The consultation is marked as private. It will be visible to everyone if you selected that option earlier; otherwise, only the people on your list will be able to see and access it.
