People who participate on Cocoriko must authenticate themselves with an email address or through the connection provided by their organization (SSO). When a person logs on to Cocoriko, three options are available

1. A one-time code received by email
2. With a Facebook account
3. With a Google account

Using single-use codes helps avoid affiliations with tech giants such as Facebook or Google.
