Its mission is to foster collaboration among stakeholders in the Outaouais region around key environmental issues. Today, CREDDO has nearly one hundred members, including community groups, businesses, government entities, and individuals. Its projects focus on solutions related to waste management, climate change mitigation and adaptation, sustainable development, biodiversity conservation, and the development of a green economy. ## The Consultation The main objective of the [consultation](https://consultations-kidjimaninan.com/consultations/connectivite-ecologique-consultation-sud-outaouais) was to gather information on the level of knowledge, interests, and concerns of citizens and local stakeholders regarding the establishment of ecological corridors in southern Outaouais. This initiative is part of the **Kidjimaninan Project**, which aims to protect regional biodiversity by achieving the target of 30% protected territory by 2030. ![Screenshot 2025-07-25 093816](https://www.cocoriko.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202025-07-25%20093816.png?width=1835&height=352&name=Screenshot%202025-07-25%20093816.png) ![Screenshot 2025-07-25 094132](https://www.cocoriko.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202025-07-25%20094132.png?width=618&height=366&name=Screenshot%202025-07-25%20094132.png) Using the **Cocoriko platform** allowed CREDDO to reach a broader audience throughout the region without the logistical constraints of an in-person event (costs, travel, etc.). Asynchronous participation accommodated individual availability, and data collection was organized and efficient. Thanks to this [online consultation](https://consultations-kidjimaninan.com/consultations/connectivite-ecologique-consultation-sud-outaouais), CREDDO gained a better understanding of public perceptions. In fact, the online consultation was followed by in-person meetings, including three participatory mapping workshops held a few weeks after the consultation was published. The Cocoriko consultation provided CREDDO with a foundation to develop the content of these workshops based on the interests and needs of the target audience. ## Marketing Several tools were used to promote the initiative, including educational videos posted on **Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn**, which explained the concepts related to ecological connectivity, as well as newsletters sent to CREDDO subscribers to engage stakeholders. ![](https://lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com/docsz/AD_4nXf-SHxkKS5rOQadCxOEWKnLW3vlBHyxOc6i1K-3C581Y-O6ZeDbhYSygDZ9c7f0lhBMB6H6SvMeclhbQHaulfjhuASxmNO_S-vKC5uiBA-Y63qzbDkcqdDFGn3ygtHd3z-yCHssjQ?key=VwUQn_CY5ZkyMUsWZCrvqA) ## Next Steps Next steps include sharing the results via social media and newsletters, and launching a similar consultation for **northern Outaouais**. Other consultations will also be initiated, particularly regarding **regulations and standards governing ecological corridors**.   > The online consultation allowed us to truly reach people across a wide territory and collect enough data to prepare for the in-person workshops. The organized and efficient data collection made our work significantly easier. ##### Raphaële Cadieux-Laflamme Project Coordinator for Natural Area Conservation Share this [Share on X ](https://x.com/intent/post?url=https://www.cocoriko.org/en/blog/une-consultation-à-propos-de-la-gestion-du-territoire-de-la-région-de-loutaouais-vers-une-meilleure-connectivité-écologique&text=A%20Consultation%20on%20Land%20Management%20in%20the%20Outaouais%20Region:%20Towards%20Better%20Ecological%20Connectivity) [Share on Facebook ](https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=https://www.cocoriko.org/en/blog/une-consultation-à-propos-de-la-gestion-du-territoire-de-la-région-de-loutaouais-vers-une-meilleure-connectivité-écologique&t=A%20Consultation%20on%20Land%20Management%20in%20the%20Outaouais%20Region:%20Towards%20Better%20Ecological%20Connectivity) [Share on LinkedIn ](https://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https://www.cocoriko.org/en/blog/une-consultation-à-propos-de-la-gestion-du-territoire-de-la-région-de-loutaouais-vers-une-meilleure-connectivité-écologique&t=A%20Consultation%20on%20Land%20Management%20in%20the%20Outaouais%20Region:%20Towards%20Better%20Ecological%20Connectivity) Previous article [← Designing a park that reflects its future users: children aged 18 months to 5 years](https://www.cocoriko.org/en/blog/park-development-for-kids?hsLang=en) Next article [A Questionnaire to Complement Participation Tools in the Development of the City of Dorval’s Cultural Policy →](https://www.cocoriko.org/en/blog/un-questionnaire-pour-compl%C3%A9ter-les-outils-de-participation-dans-le-cadre-de-l%C3%A9laboration-de-la-politique-culturelle-de-la-cit%C3%A9-de-dorval?hsLang=en) ## You May Also Like These Related Articles [A Complex and Successful Online Consultation for the Urban Development Plan for the Old Aylmer neighborhood](https://www.cocoriko.org/en/blog/plan-particulier-durbanisme-du-vieux-aylmer?hsLang=en) ![](https://www.cocoriko.org/hubfs/PPU%20Vieux-Aylmer_image6-1.jpg) [Case studies](https://www.cocoriko.org/en/blog/tag/case-studies) ### A Complex and Successful Online Consultation for the Urban Development Plan for the Old Aylmer neighborhood Gatineau, located in western Quebec, is the fourth largest c … 8-Jul-2025 1:25:38 PM 3 min read [A participatory approach that mobilizes the entire community](https://www.cocoriko.org/en/blog/a-vision-for-the-future-of-notre-dame-de-la-paix-park?hsLang=en) ![](https://lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com/docsz/AD_4nXfkdIpRvR2ReYb6UmM8S5OBM5fOFBMyTau3fNz-unLoxyCzQL974TzBmcnHh17Vu3SbGHb3Bc_nj6qIG2UdQ7RVJyaVcxspiQ9UgWkeoCoBUk7f9TZMOI-GeF9TzUiLduCW1rB29Q?key=C-gSJQvPj5bJhETmaDmfJQ) [Case studies](https://www.cocoriko.org/en/blog/tag/case-studies) ### A participatory approach that mobilizes the entire community Nestled in Montérégie, Saint-Amable is a bustling town.
