Why do participants have to create an account on Cocoriko?

In this article, we explain the reasons for creating an account and offer you arguments to present to your community during your communications and promotions.

Creating an account is mandatory on virtually all online public participation platforms and Cocoriko is no exception. Here's why we require an account:

  • Security: the double identification by email ensures that it is a real person who participates and not a bot, those little programs that try to participate automatically and distort the data
  • Statistics: on Cocoriko, participants can consult the participation statistics on each of the proposals. This gives them the feeling of being in a real consultation room.
  • Communications: all participants who agree to receive emails when creating their account can receive information from the organization that manages their consultation on Cocoriko. They will not receive any communication from Cocoriko.
  • Moderation: the proposals are approved by the moderators, most often the organization that manages its consultation on Cocoriko. We take care of the moderation of the comments. The email is necessary to perform the moderation actions.

  • It's confidential! Information will not be shared in accordance with our privacy policy (link to come).
  • Stay informed! By agreeing to receive emails from our organization (when you create your account) you will be kept informed of developments in the consultation.
  • Be part of the community! By creating your account and expressing yourself on the consultation platform, you will be part of the engaged community of our territory. Your voice will be heard along with that of your fellow citizens.
